Quality Faculty
Most faculty at community colleges, particularly in specialized areas of study, such as engineering and industrial technology, healthcare, and business and human services, have worked in their field and bring invaluable knowledge and information to the classroom. They enjoy teaching and are in the profession to help students, rather than to research a particular subject, which is often a priority at larger 4-year institutions. Many community college faculty receive regional and national awards for their dedication and commitment to the profession, as well as for excellence in teaching. This holds true for many faculty teaching at Tri-County Technical College where more than 57% of the fulltime faculty have Masters degrees and more than 18% have Doctoral degrees.
