As an Electronics Technician (official title—Equipment Services Associate), Eddie McDowell is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting equipment that is used in the assembly and testing of the BMW X5’s and Z3’s. The BMW assembly facility, located in Greer, South Carolina, employs approximately 3000 people.

At any given time, up to 800 of those people are dependent on Eddie and his team of Equipment Services Associates for keeping their equipment running so that production of X5’s and Z3’s stays right on schedule. Eddie’s area of responsibility also includes maintaining equipment used in processing BMW’s which are imported from Germany to the southeastern region of the United States and maintaining the equipment used in processing X5’s and Z3’s that will be exported to other parts of the world.
