You really need a good foundation in math and science,
but also in English. I have to communicate with people all
the time. I work on a team with 5 other people and we are
always explaining technical problems to each other, many
times in email. So you have to know how to write about the
problems as well as talk about them. I would also recommend
any computer electronics courses.
I took AC and DC circuits and digital electronics in high
school, and they provided a strong foundation for other
college courses and for my job. And don’t forget a foreign
language. These days, you never know what country your company
may be from, so it’s always good to have strong language
skills. In my case, I really wish I knew German!
