To gain skills and experience in broadcasting, I took classes
at Tri-County Technical College and earned an associate
degree, majoring in Radio and Television Broadcasting. To
be a Control Room Operator, good communication skills are
a requirement. You also need to be comfortable around high
technology and be able to perform accurate, detailed work
in limited time. You need to have good communication skills,
and it is preferred that you have two years or more of radio
or television broadcast experience. To work as a Production
Assistant, the entry-level position in the Production Department
at WYFF, a high school diploma or GED is required, and some
television experience is preferred.
