Praise Your Child
Praise your children often. Use phrases such as “You can do it!” and “I believe in you!” “Wow!” “That’s great!” The more you praise your child, the more confidence she will have in herself and her abilities. You can also help your child focus on positive experiences, such as an “A” on a paper or project or praise she received from a teacher or mentor. Dwell on good things that happen, not the bad.
