Find a Mentor

Help your son or daughter find a mentor of the same ethnicity or culture who is successful in the career field your child is interested in pursuing. Encourage your child to maintain regular contact with the mentor and to ask questions regarding the mentor’s pathway to success, including how to plan and set goals. Many high schools and colleges have mentoring programs to connect students and professionals and to help them meet on a regular basis. So contact your child’s school if you need help finding a mentor.
